How to Prepare for your Laser Hair Removal Treatment?

Avoid sun exposure for at least 2 weeks prior. Do not use any self-tanning products for at least 2 weeks prior to treatment. Avoid retinols, alpha hydroxy and beta hydroxy products (AHA/BHA), any chemical exfoliants and/or bleaching creams in the area for 7 days prior to treatment. Clients must stop waxing, tweezing and chemical epilation 3 weeks prior to treatment. Shave the treatment area 24 hours before your appointment. Clients should come to appointments with clean shaved skin in the area to be treated. Clients who have used Accutane or similar products within the last 6 months CANNOT have laser hair removal treatments.

What to do after your Laser Hair Removal Treatment?

Avoid scented lotions or anything that can cause irritation for 48 hours. Do not exercise for 24 hours. Wear sunscreen on treated areas. A cold compresses on the area and aloe vera gel can be applied if needed. Redness and bumps are normal. For best results, keep your sessions consistent with your laser technician’s recommendations.
