Synthetic brace specially designed to lift lateral nail edges away from skin folds and allow the nail to grow past the sulcus (meaty part of toe). It is an effective and non-invasive solution to treat ingrown toenails. This brace is sealed and waterproof, offering immediate and long-lasting relief from pain while the toenail corrects itself. This can be added to any of the Foot Care Appointments for only $45.00, additional time will be required, please notify us prior to booking your appointment.
Nail fungus (onychomycosis) is a common toenail affliction that is highly contagious. It enters through cracks in the nails/skin, causing a thickening and
discoloration of the nail, including a crumbling of the nail as the fungus reaches deeper layers. Nail fungus can affect just about anyone, typically older adults are at highest risk. Those with diabetes, excessive sweating, weakened immune systems, or circulation problems are considered high risk individuals.
Laser devices offer high energy beam of light that penetrates the nail, heating up the affected tissue and efficiently killing the fungus while promoting healthy nail and tissue to grow. Laser treatments are painless, fast, and have no side effects like those associated with oral antifungal medication.
Four treatments are ideal, spaced one month apart, and all toes get the same treatment not just the affected ones! Expect anywhere between 6 to 18 months to fully eliminate the fungus as the new healthy nails grows out.
